The undead invasion event is triggered by a R4 or R5 at approximately 19:00 server time on Sundays and affects everyone in the alliance. From the “Snow Mountain ” the undead generate every 3 minutes for 20 waves. Each wave is progressively stronger with different varieties of troops in each wave. This event is an exercise in the defense set up for your Keep and is generated specifically for each individual keep.
MANDATORY BEHAVIOR FOR THIS EVENT: DO NOT TELEPORT AFTER THE EVENT HAS BEEN STARTED. The undead marches will all track to your location when the event is started. If you move the undead march will not follow you to the new location. It does not matter how far away a march is, if you have the red screen- do not teleport. The time for this event is very consistent and we expect that all team members will be positioned where they belong before event time. Also note, if you are not at the hive when the event starts, there is no guarantee that you will be supported if you have difficulty with your defense.
Your goal is to be able to defend all 20 waves at 100% kill rate without assistance. Please stay at the hive until you can defeat all waves on your own. When you can successfully defend yourself through the event, you are welcome to join the team at the Snow Mountain. The Snow Mountain used is intentionally selected because its just over an hour’s march to the hive. Those that attend the snow mountain are committing to an extra hour of event support as we will take the undead at our keeps as soon as they spawn, and then return to the hive to support and reinforce team members who are still working on their defenses.
Undead update…
Hello EVO!
We are changing the undead a little going forward. Why Knox? I’m so glad you asked. With our new plan it should give everyone the coverage we need, increase the overall points and increase most individual players points.
There are two groups:
Group A – those that can survive all 20 waves of the undead on your own.
Group B – those that still need help with reinforcements.
Everyone that is in Group B please send me a response to this email, so I can coordinate on getting you all help and not doubling up.
Group A will all teleport to the snow mountain at 19:00 server time. This can be viewed by selecting settings and looking at the top of your screen. If you are able to reinforce others at the snow mountain then by all means do so for more individual points. Even with a minimum of 10k troops per other player as reinforcements will give you more points. The other players at the snow mountain won’t need the reinforcements so this is strictly if you want more points.
Group B will remain at the hive or return to the hive prior to the start of the undead. This is important so we can see who needs reinforcements and don’t miss anyone.
After completing the initial 20 waves at the snow mountain successfully the players in Group A will heal and return to the hive to use all your troops (except siege) to reinforce as many players as you can. I will give an example:
At the snow mountain I am gathering with my siege machines and reinforcing 4 other players while defending my own city. After I will return to the hive to reinforce 5 players making sure not to send any siege machines out. That’s 10 players including myself that I have earned points for.
If you won’t be online but still in Group A please let me know so we don’t waste reinforcements on a player that doesn’t need them. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Knox
***UnDead Exception*** In this event, as long as you are able to ensure you pass all waves at 100% you can reinforce the team around you for extra points. The more you reinforce, the more event points the alliance receives. DO NOT reinforce if you are not confident that you will defend all 20 waves at 100%
Tips for success:
Store or ghost your seige machines if possible.
Make sure you have strong defense generals on your wall.
Put a duty officer in your archer tower, at the highest level available.
If you have buffs for attack, defense, and, HP, activate them after the first wave hits – they will then be in effect until the finish of the event.
Remain calm through the red screens- this is a great desensitization practice for PvP.
